One of the most atmospheric corners of the Thames — Old Hampton, around Garrick’s Villa, Garrick’s Temple to Shakespeare, and St Mary’s Church. This area is filled with charming riverside scenes that are truly unique to this stretch of the Thames. The gentle curve of the river creates lovely perspective lines and reflections, adding charm to the scene. You can see the old ferry, boats, and the charming octagonal temple dedicated to Shakespeare, all nestled in the peaceful riverside setting. Feel free to create whatever inspires you!

London Social Easel is a freeform art group – we're creative souls who believe that art has the power to bring people together.
Founded in winter 2025 by Fritha & Kinga, artists living in the Borough of Richmond, they wanted to create regular indoor /outdoor drawing and painting meetups across West London. These joyful, free gatherings offered artists the opportunity to come together and create during the chilly season. Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or are a seasoned artist, you'll find a warm welcome with us!

Create, connect, and be inspired!
From complete beginners to experienced artists, everyone is welcome.
